Busting the Nanny
Whitney and Chris wasted no time turning Melissa in to the authorities. They called the police and with their help, set up a sting for two days later. The couple were frantic about the situation but they had to act fast, lest Melissa skip town.
When Medema came to work the next day, several police officers were there to arrest her and escort her to jail. City attorneys charged her with endangering the welfare of a child. Under Arizona law, however, she could only spend 90 days in the county jail. The Matneys should have felt relief, but the devil in the details only made them feel worse.
