The family gave a detailed description of the man they saw. The drawing that was created shows significant similarities to Gerry. This caused many people to assume it was in fact Gerry who was carrying Maddie. One of the family members who witnessed the incident said she was about 80% sure it was Gerry, but there is no other evidence to support this claim.
